Side by Side Comparison:

Paying Cash vs Using Insurance

Infographic comparing costs and time for physical therapy visits with and without insurance, including details on deductible, co-pay, number of visits, total cost, time spent per visit, total time, travel, and total travel time.
Comparison of insurance costs and time for visits with different co-insurance and deductible options. Top section shows insurance with deductible not met, bottom section shows insurance with 20% co-insurance met.

In most circumstances, it is more beneficial to pay cash for PT when considering not only the dollar amount, but the overall “cost” of going to a clinic vs using Mobile PT when you consider travel time and time spent actually with a PT. The data above is based on averages, however, most individuals are experiencing higher premiums, deductibles, con-insurances or co-pays, and less access to quality visits when using insurance. The cost of visits fluctuates and depends on what is done in each visit and what contractual rates have been agreed upon between the PT and in the insurance, so it is impossible to predict visit cost until you receive the final bill. With DuPont Wellness Mobile Physical Therapy, you will always know your cost and will save on invaluable time.
